Why is my Suzuki Wagon R AC not blowing cold air even after gas refill?

I recently got the AC gas refilled in my 2019 Suzuki Wagon R, but the air is still not cold—just mildly cool. The compressor turns on, and the fan seems to work fine. The mechanic said the gas level is okay. What could be the reason behind the AC not cooling properly even after servicing? Could it be a clogged evaporator, weak compressor, o r something else?

If the AC gas was recently refilled but the system is still not cooling properly, there are several possible causes:

Common Reasons:

Overfilling o r underfilling gas – Proper gas quantity is critical. Even a slight overcharge o r undercharge affects cooling.

Weak compressor – If the compressor is old o r internally worn, it may not compress the gas effectively.

Choked expansion valve o r evaporator coil – These control refrigerant flow. If clogged, cooling will be poor.

Moisture o r air in the AC lines – This can occur if the system wasn’t vacuumed properly before refilling gas.

Cooling fan not working efficiently – Especially in hot weather, if the condenser fan is slow o r weak, cooling s.

What to Do:

Visit a professional AC specialist not roadside who can:

Check gas pressure using proper gauges

Test compressor health

Flush and vacuum the system properly

Tip: Avoid repeated gas top-ups. First fix the root cause like a leak o r weak compressor.
