Why is the check engine light on in my Suzuki Wagon R even though the car drives fine?
My 2020 Suzuki Wagon Rs check engine light is staying on, but the car drives normally without any noticeable issues. I suspect a sensor might be malfunctioning. Could this be due to an oxygen sensor, MAP sensor, o r something else? How do I identify the faulty sensor without a scan tool?

A check engine light without obvious performance issues often means a sensor is reporting abnormal readings rather than a critical fault. Common sensor-related causes include:
Oxygen O2 sensor: Can trigger a check engine light if its reporting lean/rich mixtures, even if the car feels normal.
MAP Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor: A faulty MAP sensor can send incorrect engine load data, affecting fuel injection timing.
EVAP system sensor: A loose fuel cap o r a fault in the vapor purge valve can also trigger the light.
Crankshaft/Camshaft Position Sensor: Might trigger the light but not affect drivability—yet.
Fix:
Use an OBD-II scanner to check the error code most workshops in Pakistan offer this cheaply. Even if the car feels fine, ignoring the light may lead to more serious problems o r poor fuel economy over time.
