First Ever Kia EV for Pakistan

The people can find the first-look review of the newly launched car, Kia Niro EV and the production is still awaiting. A glimpse of this car offers this EV in Pakistan. Powertrain and Range

Kia Niro EV is offered in the market in two battery sizes, which are 39.2 kWh and 64 kWh lithium-ion batteries and this unit has a 64 kWh battery to generate 201 hp and 394 nm of torque. The battery gives power to the vehicle to move from 0 to 100 in 8 seconds. The electric car has the configuration of single-speed automatic transmission and it delivers power to the front wheels. Niro EV can give a range of 300 plus kilometers on a full charge and it takes 8 to 10 hours to charge on the simple home socket. On the commercial fast chargers, it gets charged from 0 to 80 % in 45 minutes.

Exterior

The exterior side of this car is added with front-end features of LED projection headlamps, intended patterns in place of the grille, where the charging port is mounted. The bumper has bright blue garnishes to show the electric platform with front parking sensors. The side features of the cars are 18-inch alloys with chrome moldings around the windows. The rear end of the car is just like Kia Rio and it gets the gloss black roof spoiler to add character to Niro.

Interior

The interior side of the car is laid out and it is not upgraded. The material used in the inner side feels solid with soft padding on every touch point. Dash has a gloss black panel, and it is made complimented by an 8-inch infotainment system, aluminum-finished buttons, and has sleek air vents.

The center cluster is distinctive and it gives a quirky feel with rotary gear shift and it controls various other features. The most interesting side of the interior is the instrument cluster, which is a fully digital screen with independent digital dials for speed and range and they give modern look. The cabin of this car is roomy with decent and wonderful headroom and legroom.

Features

Niro EV is added with different features like paddle shifters, heated and ventilated seats, an electronic parking brake, driving modes, an android auto, a driver seat with lumbar support, a sunroof, and Apple Carplay. There are different safety features in this car, which are added with five airbags, a blind spot monitor, ABS, parking sensors, traction control, and EBD.

Price

We cannot say something with confidence about the price of the car and it is expected that the price of this EV will be around PKR 8.5 million, if it is launched in the market.
