Isuzu D-Max Upgrade: X-Series Unveiled

While the Isuzu D-Max struggles to gain traction in the Pakistani market with its outdated generation model, it enjoys significant success in Southeast Asian markets, outperforming its rival, the Toyota Hilux. Despite Ghandhara recently introducing a GTX variant in Pakistan, featuring subtle add-ons that may require close inspection, the D-Max presents a different story in other regions.

Isuzu D-Max underwent a comprehensive facelift, receiving a bold and more aggressive appearance, coupled with additional features and technological enhancements. Expanding its offerings, the D-Max lineup now includes the introduction of the X-Series variants, a trend long established by Isuzu in Southeast Asian markets.

Visual enhancements characterize the X-Series models, featuring a distinctive front apron with intricate design elements. Gloss black exterior components, such as the grille, test bumper trims, and foglight housings, contribute to the distinctive X-Series aesthetic. The addition of red accents, racing stripes, black wheels, and a sports bar on the bed further enhance the overall appearance.

Internally, the X-Series boasts additional red accents on the gearshift, dashboard, and seats. Differentiating it from the basic models, X emblems adorn the dashboard trim and front seats of the D-Max versions. An exclusive X-Series welcome animation is integrated into the multi-information display.

Despite the visual enhancements, the X-Series maintains identical mechanical specifications to the existing D-Max variants. Engine options remain unchanged, offering 1.9L and 3.0L turbodiesel units. Both the 1.9L and 3.0L models deliver the same power outputs, with 148 hp and 350 Nm, and 189 hp and 450 Nm, respectively. Transmission choices include a 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual. The X-Series caters to both low and high-rider models, available in extended cab or dual cab bodies.
