In August 2023, Pakistan witnessed a shift in automobile imports, with a focus on luxury vehicles. As essential car imports faced a ban, here's what happened:

August 2023 CBU Imports:

Pakistan imported around 3,100 Completely Built-Up (CBU) cars in August 2023. These included:

Luxury Land Cruisers and Prados: Approximately 195 of these elite cars made their way into the country.
Hybrid Vehicles: Over 250 hybrids with varying engine sizes were imported, known for their fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness.
Electric Vehicles (EVs): Nearly 97 EVs arrived in August, featuring renowned names like BMW iX, Mercedes EQS, and Audi Etron. The shift to electric mobility is evident.
Engine Capacities: Out of these imports, 1,571 were 660cc vehicles, while 587 were 1000cc. Smaller engines continued to dominate.
