Main Differences Between GLX and Suzuki Vitara GL+

In the last few weeks, Suzuki launched GL+ and GLX. Now, it’s important to know about the differences in the two models of the same car. First thing to know that there is a difference in price of both these models.
• GL+ Priced @ PKR 3.49 Million
• GLX Priced @ PKR 3.79 Million

Now, there is surely some difference between the performances of two models with price difference of Rs. 300,000. There is no difference in cabin space, dimensions, engine displacement and boot space of the two models but GLX is superior due to several other features. You can differentiate the two models through the features provided below.

Exterior – It is the most noticeable thing for the Cars. Though, most specifications in both the cars are same but there are few differences including:
• GLX is available with polished and painted alloy wheels while GL+ is only with painted alloys.
• GL+ lacks a panoramic sunroof which is available in GLX.
• The color of roof rails of GL+ and GLX are black and silver respectively.
• The fender garnish of GL+ and GLX are grey and chrome in color respectively.
• The front grille of GL+ and GLX are colored and chrome respectively.
Visibility – Following are the aspects that will define visibility features of the two models.
• Headlamps – There is a major difference between the two models in this regard. For both low and high beam, the GL+ has multi-halogen multi-reflectors but GLX has LED projectors for low beams and Halogen multi-reflectors for high beams. Apart from that, automatic lamps and automatic headlamp leveling device is also present in GLX.
• Automatic Wiper – Only GLX contains this facility of automatic wiper that operates after detecting rain while its speed is maintained in a limit to let driver get a clear view.
• Day/Night Rear-view Mirror – This feature is available in both the variants but GL+ comes with manually adjustable rear view mirror while there is an automatic dimming rear view mirror in GLX.
Driving Amenities –
• Key-less Push Start – It is a new and famous features in modern cars but it is absent in GL+ and available only in GLX.
• Tweeter – GL+ also lacks this feature due to which the whole sound system is controlled by 4 speakers in the doors.
Interior –
• Cabin Lights – There is a traditional 2 position front map light in GL+ while the GLX has 3 position due to a sunroof.
• Overhead Console – This feature is also available in GLX only which is also due to the sunroof.
• Door Trim – There is an extension of fabric in the door trim of GL+ while it is replaced with extension of suede in GLX.
• Seats – The seats are suede covered and offer height adjustment for passengers in GLX while both these features are absent in GL+.
Safety and Security –
Parking Sensors – GL+ only has parking sensors on its rear end while GLX has these sensors at both front and rear.
• Day time Running Lights – aka DRL’s LED are only available in the GLX model of Suzuki Vitara.

All these differences in the features show that the difference in price of both these models is justifiable while few basic features like LED projection lights and parking sensors should be included in both these models.
