Prototype Car Traveling 1150 Kms in 1 Liter Petrol

Most of the public users still prefer fossil fuels despite the fact that the world is trying to make use of alternative cars with fuel efficiency. You can attain high mileage with hybrids but they could not achieve much success. But now you can take a car from Peshawar to Karachi by having just 1 liter of petrol.
Recently, it has been made possible by students from Universite Laval from Quebec while their new car prototype has won top prize at Shell Eco-marathon Americas this year.

2713 miles per gallon 1153.5 km per liter is the capacity of the top ranked vehicle. Different fuels like petrol and hydrogen fuel cells were used in this prototype by Laval in order to increase efficiency. The Detriot, Michigan test track in USA was used to test the vehicle.
Students of the same university managed to win by designing a prototype that can travel 2585 miles per gallon 1099 km per litre last year.
This car is lightweight, aerodynamic and powerful according to its body. The car can run on the speeds of around 14 km to 32 km/hr due to just having horsepower of 2.
There were total 1200 participants in the 11th Eco-marathon by Shell. There were several categories of automobile technologies in this competition including internal combustion, fully electric and hydrogen fuel cell.

But this car is still less fuel efficient than a black cone-shaped car by University of Toronto that was winner of the competition in 2015 after managing 3421 miles per gallon 1454.5 km per litre.
