Suzuki Alto Faces 75% Sales Drop Amid Heavy Tax Impact

The Suzuki Alto, Pakistan’s most popular budget-friendly car, has faced a sharp downturn in sales. The latest Pak Suzuki Sales Report shows a steep decline, sparking concern in the auto industry. According to official figures, the Suzuki Alto Sales 2025 story is dominated by one fact — a massive 75% fall in demand compared to the previous month.

What Caused the Suzuki Alto Sales Drop?

The Pakistan Auto Sales 2025 update highlights how the General Sales Tax (GST) on cars up to 850cc was raised from 12.5% to 18%. Analysts suggest that unless the government revises tax policies, the Suzuki Alto Sales 2025 trend may remain weak. This could leave buyers with limited affordable choices, reshaping the entry-level car segment in Pakistan.
