Here’s When Volkswagen Crossovers Will Come In Pakistan

A leading auto giant in Pakistan Premier Motors Ltd is set to introduce the Volkswagen vehicles in Pakistan. The PML partnered with German automaker signing a legal agreement for the production of vehicles in Hanover, Germany. The company decided to establish a manufacturing plant in Pakistan with an investment of 135 USD.

As reported previously, the Volkswagen Group intends to produce Amrok Truck and Transporter Van in Pakistan. The Amrok Truck will compete with Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max. Meanwhile, Transporter will go up against Hyundai Grand Starex and KIA Grand Carnival.

Launch of Volkswagen Vehicles in Pakistan

The official CKD assembly partner of Volkswagen Group, Premier Motors Limited PML is reportedly bringing premium SUVs by Volkswagen crossover SUVs in Pakistan by 2023. In the same tenure, the company is also planning to Skoda SUVs.

According to an official statement by PML:

The PML says, it is setting up an assembling plant in Balochistan since July 2021 and has appointed AKD Securities Limited as its financial advisor to finish the CKD Assembly plant in Pakistan.

“The construction is in full swing, and the plant will have the capacity of 30,000 vehicles per annum,” the company added. The estimated cost of the project is $100million.
