Iihs Safety Picks Are Dominated By Japanese & Korean Aut

IIHS awarded the best safety picks and planned to role out new 30 cars in 2019. The cars that will receive this award is double the amount of the car being awarded last year, the spike in the number of the awarded car is that the IIHS has made its safety requirements more harder to reach, u will understand this fact by knowing that 17 models just missed the selection by inch, as their headlights didn’t got good rating.




70% of the vehicle who received the award by IIHS safety picks were cars, and no truck was near the list of IIHS safety picks, whereas 30% of the vehicles that received the award were small and mid size SUV’s, whereas in the last year Honda ridgeline made it to the list but this time it was also ped from the list, Subaru was awarded with seven top honors by IIHS which the biggest number of awards being given to a single manufacturer. The forester won the top safety pick award but missed the pick+ award as its headlights didn’t got good rating.




The thing that came into the notice of the whole automobile industry is that American automakers had no place in any of the two lists, except for the Chrysler with its Pacifica. Pacifica secured its last year position, beside Chrysler no other American automaker qualified to the top safety pick o r pick + award. Most of the vehicles and cars on this list are Japanese and Korean, Hyundai was able to qualify most of the vehicles when tallying the list, elites German manufacturers like bmw, Audi and Mercedes made it to these lists.




Electric cars were also not able to qualify  to the lists, the single electric car that made its spot on the list was kia niro plug-in hybrid, the most important thing is that not a single tesla car could make to these lists, the main reason is that tesla  never provided IIHS with any data regarding the test o r cars to test them, so they were eliminated from the competition, the usual part is that tesla  never leaves any opportunity to prove their quality and performance.
