MG Pakistan Finally Displayed MG 5 In Lahore

MG Motors Pakistan has finally displayed its much awaited car MG 5 which will be launched as MG GT in Pakistan. The MG 5 is displayed at the Packages Mall in Lahore. The car is publically under discussion. The company has allowed only few peoples to have a closer look to the car.

Exterior

The sedan MG 5 displayed in Lahore is in yellow color. The MG 5 is a left hand drive 1.5liter, naturally aspirated, non-turbo variant with the 180DVVT badging on its rear. The front side of the sedan is similar to the Maserati Quattroporte, and has daytime running LEDs with projection lamps that light up automatically when they detect darkness. It also has a sporty grill with a large MG emblem in the center.

The design of the rear lights on the rear side of the MG 5 is inspired by the Mercedes C-Class. The matte trim is beautifully fitted with side reflectors on the edges of the bumper, and the chrome dual exhaust cut-outs. It gives shiny and attractive look to the sedan, besides the parking sensors in the rear bumper.

The MG 5 looks like Honda Civics X. The sides of the car are simpler than front and rear side but overall look is nice and attractive. The vehicle is offered with 360 degrees view cameras and gives a stylish look.

The sedan MG 5is installed with two-toned 16-inch alloy wheels that have a 205/55/R16 tire size. However, the company has not yet confirmed the exact alloys for the upcoming variant for Pakistan. The fully panoramic sunroofs are place on the top of the MG 5.

Interior

The MG 5 sedan has also an attractive and matchless interior in its segment. The car has hexagon patterns a.k.a 3D diamond design run along the center of the dashboard that make it more attractive. The car also has fully digital instrument structure with car-related information, including a tire pressure monitoring system.

The car has its steering similar to previously launched MG cars in market like MG HS and the MG ZS, with the same key functions on it. The paddle shifters are not present in the displayed car. The car has drivers oriented features like the wide 10-inch display screen in the center supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and lets the driver use applications hands-free on a smartphone it after it is connected.

The MG sedan has four cameras at the front, rear, and on its side mirrors that give the driver a 360° view of the surroundings. So the drive will be easier in congested areas. The car is also featured with vents and climate control. There will be comfortable seats in the car for long drive and gives a sporty feel to the interior. It is expected that car will have electric seats.

MG 5 Launch in Pakistan

According to MG Motors, the MG 5 sedan is expected to make its official debut in the Pakistani auto market a few months later. The car is expected to come in two variants---with a 1.5 liter, naturally aspirated engine; and the other one with a 1.5 liter, turbocharged engine. The MG 5 seadan will be a competitor to other C-segment sedan section in the Pakistani auto market like Honda Civic, the Toyota Corolla, and the Hyundai Elantra. As far as the price of MG 5 is concerned it is expected to be priced between 3.8 million and 4.3 million.
