New Hyundai Sonata Launch Revealed

Hyundai Nishat Motors is set to unveil its first locally assembled sedan the Hyundai Sonata in Pakistan. It will be a D-Segment midsize sedan. The company confirmed the arrival of car a couple of weeks ago and for now the launch date and specifications of the car has been revealed.

Recently, the company released a teaser with title “Gear up for the arrival of a striking presence that is bound to leave you astounded”. The company has imported Completely Knocked Down CKD kits of the vehicle.

This mid size sedan will be competitor to Japanese Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. The Pakistani variant of the Hyundai Sonata will have two powertrains- a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 152 hp and 192 Nm of torque, that is mated with 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 191 hp and 245 Nm of torque, that is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Sonata will come at the price of 7 million rupees to 9 million rupees while its Japanese rivals come at the price of 10 million.
