. How can I fix recurring scratches on the Hyundai Elantra door handles and around the key area?

Scratches are appearing around my Elantra’s door handles and the keyhole area, even though I try to be careful. Is this due to a design issue, and what’s the best way to protect o r fix this on a budget?

This is a very common cosmetic issue, especially on the driver-side door. Scratches near the handle and keyhole typically result from rings, keys, o r fingernails. The design of the handle may also contribute by not offering much protection from hand movement. Solutions include:

Applying clear protective films PPF o r handle cup protectors.

Using scratch removal compounds like Meguiar’s ScratchX o r Turtle Wax to reduce visibility.

Opting for ceramic coating, which adds a harder layer over paint.
In the long term, a handle cup PPF kit widely available online is the best solution to prevent further scratches.
