Are There Known Issues with the Jeep Cherokees Power Liftgate in Pakistan?

Ive noticed that the power liftgate on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee doesnt always latch properly, especially in hot weather. Sometimes, it requires multiple attempts to close securely. Is this a widespread issue in Pakistan, and how can it be fixed?

A knocking sound from your Jeep Cherokee’s engine, especially during startup o r under load, can be concerning and is not uncommon in Pakistan. This noise could be due to worn engine bearings commonly known as rod knock, faulty hydraulic lifters, o r issues with the timing chain system. In Pakistan’s hot climate and dusty driving conditions, if engine oil isn’t changed regularly o r the wrong oil type is used, internal engine components wear out faster. Many owners also report similar sounds caused by carbon buildup o r poor fuel quality. Its critical not to ignore this, as actual rod knock can lead to complete engine failure if untreated. A mechanic should perform a compression test and oil pressure check to confirm the exact cause. Regular use of quality synthetic oil and timely maintenance can help prevent such engine wear in the future.
