“Brake Pedal Becoming Hard and Car Doesn’t Stop Quickly — Are My Santro’s Brake Pads Finished

My Hyundai Santro’s braking performance has become very weak. The brake pedal feels harder than before, and the car takes longer to stop. Someone told me that worn-out brake pads o r glazed pads due to heating are very common problems in Santros, especially in city driving. How do I check if the brake pads are worn, glazed, o r if the issue is something else like brake oil o r discs?
