Vibration in Brake Pedal When Braking at High Speed — Brake Pad Issue o r Disc Problem?
Whenever I brake at 60–80 km/h, I feel vibration in the brake pedal of my Santro. A mechanic said that worn brake pads can cause uneven braking, but another said the brake discs might be warped. This vibration happens mostly at higher speeds. What is the usual cause of brake vibration in Santro in Pakistan—worn pads, cheap pad quality, o r bad discs?

Most likely reasons:
Warped brake discs rotors
– Heat from heavy traffic o r city driving causes discs to warp.
✔ Fix: Machine discs if minor, replace if severe.
Uneven o r worn brake pads
– Low-quality pads wear unevenly and cause pedal vibration.
✔ Fix: Replace pads with good-quality ones.
Loose caliper o r mounting bolts
– Can transmit vibration to the pedal.
✔ Fix: Check and tighten caliper bolts.
Dust o r rust between pads and discs
– Creates uneven contact.
✔ Fix: Clean rotor and pad surfaces during service.
Most common fix in Pakistan:
Brake pad replacement + rotor check/machining solves vibration for most Santros.
