Can a dirty throttle body o r faulty sensor cause engine sputtering in the Suzuki Every?

Intermittent sputtering during both idle and driving could point to a dirty throttle body o r faulty Mass Air Flow MAF sensor o r O2 sensor. How do these parts affect engine performance, and what are the signs that they need cleaning o r replacement?

Yes, a dirty throttle body o r malfunctioning sensors are very common causes of engine sputtering in the Suzuki Every.

Main culprits:

Throttle body carbon buildup disrupts airflow, affecting idle and acceleration.

Faulty Mass Air Flow MAF sensor causes incorrect fuel metering.

Oxygen O2 sensor malfunction leads to poor fuel trimming and emissions.

Bad MAP sensor if equipped can cause similar problems.

Fixes:

Remove and clean the throttle body using a proper cleaner.

Test and clean the MAF sensor o r replace it if readings are unstable.

Have a mechanic scan the ECU for sensor-related error codes.

Replace O2 sensors if theyre aged o r triggering check engine lights.
