Can a faulty starter motor cause intermittent starting problems in a Suzuki Every?

Sometimes my Suzuki Every starts fine, but other times it doesn’t crank at all. The problem seems to come and go randomly. Could this be due to a worn-out starter motor, o r could it be caused by loose wiring o r a failing ignition relay?

Yes, intermittent starting problems are often caused by a starter motor with worn internal contacts o r brushes. Other possibilities include:

Loose Starter Wiring:
Wiring may be sensitive to vibration o r temperature, causing occasional disconnection.

Faulty Ignition Switch o r Relay:
If either fails sporadically, the signal to the starter motor will be inconsistent.

Heat-Soaked Starter Motor:
In hot climates like Pakistan’s, a hot engine can cause the starter motor to expand slightly and fail to engage properly.

Solution:
Check all electrical connections for tightness. If the starter motor fails occasionally and all wiring checks out, its time to replace o r rebuild it.
