Absolutely. Low-quality o r adulterated petrol in Pakistan can quickly damage the catalytic converter. Fuel with too much sulfur o r impurities causes carbon buildup inside the converter, clogging it over time.

Signs of fuel-related converter damage:
in mileage

Check engine light often with codes like P0420

Loss of power

Excessive exhaust smoke o r smell

Tips to prevent this:

Use high-quality petrol from trusted stations e.g., Shell V-Power, PSO Hi-Octane

Avoid frequent switching between low- and high-octane fuels

Add fuel system cleaner every 3,000–5,000 km

Get the injectors cleaned regularly
