Can dirty spark plugs cause my Elantra to sputter at low speeds?

My 2020 Elantra has started sputtering at low speeds, particularly in traffic o r when I release the accelerator. A local mechanic said the spark plugs might be the problem. Are spark plug issues common in Elantras in Pakistan due to dusty environments o r poor fuel?

Yes, using substandard o r fake transmission fluid is one of the most common causes of transmission failure in Pakistan. Many unauthorized workshops use cheaper ATF fluids that:

Do not meet Hyundais SP-IV o r SP-IV-RR standards.

Can degrade seals and friction materials inside the gearbox.

Lead to overheating and slipping in automatic transmissions.

Always insist on genuine ATF from authorized dealers o r branded suppliers. If youve already used questionable fluid, a complete transmission flush and possibly a filter replacement is strongly recommended to prevent further damage.
