Can rain o r moisture damage the power window system in Suzuki Every?

After heavy rain, my rear power window stopped working completely. Could water have damaged the motor o r shorted the wiring? How vulnerable is the Suzuki Every’s power window system to weather conditions in Pakistan, and how can I protect it?

Yes, rain o r moisture can damage the power window motor, switches, o r wiring, especially if:

Weather Seals Are Worn: Old o r cracked rubber seals let water into the door panel.

Power Window Switches Are Exposed: If rainwater enters through a half-open window o r leaks into the door panel, switches can short-circuit.

Rust o r Corrosion Develops: Moisture promotes corrosion inside the window motor, causing it to fail.

This is especially common during monsoon season in cities like Lahore, Karachi, o r Islamabad.

Solution:
Dry the affected area, and check all electrical connectors for moisture o r rust. Apply dielectric grease to protect from future corrosion. Replace rubber seals o r inner weatherstripping if water is getting inside.
