Can worn tie rods o r suspension parts cause steering problems in Elantra on Pakistani roads?

I’ve noticed that my Elantra 2016 model feels loose and slightly unstable when turning o r hitting potholes. I drive daily in Rawalpindi, where roads are uneven. Could this be due to worn tie rods o r bushings? How often should these parts be inspected?

Absolutely. Pakistan’s poor road conditions, especially in cities like Rawalpindi, Quetta, and Peshawar, lead to premature wear of suspension and steering components.

Worn parts to check:

Outer and inner tie rods

Lower control arm bushings

Stabilizer links and struts

Steering rack mounts

Symptoms include:

Looseness in steering

Knocking o r clunking sound on turns o r bumps

Vehicle pulling to one side

Maintenance Tip:
Have your steering and suspension components inspected every 20,000 km o r if you frequently drive on rough terrain. Using better aftermarket bushings like polyurethane can provide longer life.
