Grinding Sound While Braking in My Suzuki Every – Are the Brake Pads Completely Worn Out?

For the past few days, I’ve been hearing a grinding noise whenever I press the brakes, especially at low speeds. I drive a 2015 Suzuki Every mostly in city traffic in Karachi. Could this mean the brake pads are fully worn out and now damaging the rotors? How risky is it to continue driving like this?

A grinding noise when braking usually means your brake pads are completely worn out, and the metal backing plate is now rubbing against the brake disc rotor. This can cause damage to the rotor, leading to costly repairs.

Driving with worn pads is dangerous because braking efficiency s significantly.

You may also notice longer stopping distances and vibration while braking.

What to do:

Replace brake pads immediately to avoid rotor damage.

Inspect the brake rotors if damaged, they may need resurfacing o r replacement.

Get the entire brake system checked by a trusted mechanic.
