How Can I Fix Persistent Streaking on My Hyundai Elantra Windshield?

Despite regularly washing my windshield and replacing the wipers once, my Elantra’s windshield still gets streaky when I use the wipers. I live in Lahore, where there’s a lot of dust and pollution—could that be affecting it? Are there any specific cleaning products o r techniques recommended for this issue in the Pakistani environment?

Persistent streaking can be due to contamination on the windshield, improper blade contact, o r degraded rubber on the wipers.

Steps to fix it:

Clean the windshield thoroughly using:

Glass cleaner like STP, Formula 1, o r 3M, available in Pakistan

Microfiber cloth

Optional: Use rubbing alcohol o r vinegar-water solution for deeper cleaning

Clean the wiper blades with a damp cloth and a bit of washer fluid o r alcohol.

Check the wiper arms for proper tension and alignment. If they’re not pressing evenly on the glass, streaking will occur.

Replace old blades if streaking continues.

This routine is especially important in Pakistan’s urban areas where pollution and dusty air coat the windshield daily.
