Is a clicking sound a sign of a bad starter motor in my Suzuki Every?

Whenever I try to start my Suzuki Every, I only hear a rapid clicking sound from the engine bay, and the engine doesn’t start. The battery seems fine, and the lights work. Could this clicking be a sign of a bad starter motor, o r should I check something else first?

Yes, a rapid clicking sound when turning the key is a classic symptom of starter-related issues. Here’s what it usually means:

Low Battery Voltage o r Weak Battery:
There may be enough power for dashboard lights but not enough to turn the starter motor.

Stuck o r Faulty Starter Solenoid:
The solenoid may engage clicks but doesn’t send enough power to spin the motor.

Bad Electrical Connections o r Grounds:
Loose o r rusted battery terminals o r ground wires can cause poor current flow.

Solution:
Clean battery terminals, test battery voltage should be ~12.6V, and try jump-starting. If the battery and wiring are okay, the starter motor likely needs replacement.
