Is it common for Elantra transmission seals to wear out early in Pakistan’s climate?

I own a 2021 Hyundai Elantra and recently discovered a slow transmission fluid leak. Could the hot weather o r road conditions in Pakistan be affecting the rubber seals faster than usual?

Yes, the high temperatures in many parts of Pakistan—especially in cities like Karachi, Multan, and Lahore—can cause rubber and plastic components to degrade more quickly. This includes the transmission input/output shaft seals, pan gasket, and cooler line seals.

Humidity and heat cycles accelerate wear, especially if the vehicle is regularly driven in stop-and-go traffic o r is used for longer commutes. Its important to check for any early signs of fluid leakage and get seals replaced with high-quality o r OEM parts during routine service intervals.
