A mild whining sound is typical of CVT transmissions due to their design pulleys and belts instead of gears. However, loud o r increasing noise may indicate:

Worn CVT belt o r pulley system

Low o r degraded CVT fluid

Faulty CVT bearings

Poor-quality o r incorrect fluid used during last service

Solutions:

Check and replace CVT fluid with a compatible type usually NS-2 o r NS-3 for Suzuki CVT.

Avoid using generic ATF, as it can damage the CVT.

If noise increases o r is accompanied by jerking, consult a CVT transmission expert.
