Is it normal to hear squeaking from the brakes on my Elantra, especially in the morning o r after rain?

My Hyundai Elantra often makes a squeaky noise from the front wheels when braking, especially early in the morning o r after driving through rain o r water. Is this a sign of worn brake pads, o r just due to moisture and dust in Pakistan’s environment?
