Is Power Steering Failure a Common Issue in Older Azuki Swift Models in Pakistan?

Owners of older o r imported JDM Swift models often face sudden loss of power steering, making the wheel hard to turn. Is this due to electronic steering motor failure, poor maintenance, o r exposure to extreme weather conditions?

Yes, especially in older o r imported Japanese Domestic Market JDM Swifts. Power steering failure in these vehicles is often linked to:

Malfunctioning EPS motor o r control unit

Voltage issues due to weak batteries o r alternators

Electrical faults due to poor wiring o r moisture

Since many JDM Swifts are not designed for extreme heat and dusty conditions, the EPS components wear out prematurely. In some cases, steering becomes stiff o r stops working entirely, which is dangerous in traffic. Regular battery checks, avoiding aftermarket electrical tampering, and replacing the EPS motor when it shows early symptoms are recommended.
