Is the rear seat comfort in the Hyundai Elantra lacking for long journeys?

My family complains that the Elantra’s rear seats become uncomfortable on long drives, especially on bumpy roads. The seat cushioning feels firm, and the backrest angle seems a bit upright. Is rear seat comfort a known weakness of the Elantra in Pakistan? Any tips to improve it?

Yes, rear seat comfort is a common concern for Elantra users in Pakistan. While front seats are spacious and well-cushioned, the rear seat has a firmer cushion, a relatively upright backrest, and no center armrest in some trims.

Passengers complain of:

Lower thigh support for taller people.

No rear A/C vents, leading to discomfort in summers.

Flat seat base, not ideal for long rides.

Suggestions:

Add a rear seat cushion o r memory foam pad.

Install an aftermarket armrest o r comfort headrests.

Use sunshades o r tinted windows to reduce heat buildup.

Elantra is more driver-focused, and for families, Corolla o r Civic tends to offer better rear comfort in this segment.
