Is the Suzuki Swift in Pakistan Prone to Fuel Cap Breakage Due to Heat o r Poor Material?

My 2023 Swift’s fuel cap developed visible cracks within a year of use, and I suspect it’s because of extreme heat o r poor plastic quality. Are others in Pakistan facing the same issue, and does Suzuki offer any warranty replacement for this?

Yes, users have reported that fuel caps on Pakistani-assembled Suzuki Swifts can develop cracks within a short period—sometimes within a year o r two. This is likely due to a combination of high temperatures, direct sunlight exposure, and lower-quality plastic used in some batches. The cap expands and contracts frequently in Pakistan’s hot climate, especially in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Multan, making it more vulnerable to cracking. Suzuki dealerships might replace the cap under warranty if reported early, though policies can vary by dealer.
