Jerks While Driving and Weak Pickup — Is the Throttle Body o r Filter Dirty?

My United Alpha gives jerks while driving in low gears and sometimes stalls when I press the accelerator lightly. A mechanic said the throttle body o r the filter connected to it might be clogged. What parts should be cleaned, and how do I confirm if a dirty filter is causing the issue?

A clogged air filter significantly affects fuel economy and engine smoothness in the United Alpha. Dusty Pakistani conditions make the filter clog faster than normal.

Symptoms of a clogged air filter

Poor fuel average

Rough o r uneven idling

Engine shakes when AC is turned on

Reduced throttle response

Black smoke from exhaust in severe cases

Recommended maintenance

Clean air filter every 2,000–3,000 km especially in dusty areas.

Replace air filter every 10,000–12,000 km o r earlier if visibly dirty.

Make sure the air intake system has no blockages.

A clean air filter can instantly improve engine smoothness and fuel efficiency.
