My Suzuki Every jerks during acceleration — is it a spark plug issue?

When I press the accelerator in my Suzuki Every, especially in lower gears, the engine sometimes jerks o r stutters for a moment. The problem seems worse when the engine is cold o r under load. I haven’t changed the spark plugs in a while. Could this be a plug issue o r coil problem? How often should spark plugs be replaced in Pakistani conditions?

Yes, jerking during acceleration — especially at low RPMs o r under load — is often caused by weak spark due to worn o r misfiring spark plugs. It could also be related to ignition coils, but spark plugs are the first place to check.

Other possible causes include:
Failing ignition coil

Bad fuel injectors

Dirty throttle body o r sensors

What to do:

Replace all 3 plugs since Suzuki Every 660cc is a 3-cylinder engine

Have a mechanic scan for misfire codes P0300–P0303

If jerking continues after plug replacement, inspect the ignition coils next
