My Suzuki Every’s Tires Seem Overinflated After a Long Drive – Is This Normal?

After driving my Suzuki Every for about an hour in Islamabad’s hot weather, I check the tire pressure, and it’s higher than usual. Is it safe to drive with this increased pressure? How does temperature affect tire pressure, and should I adjust inflation based on weather?

Yes, this is normal. Tire pressure increases with heat because air expands when warmed up from driving o r hot weather.

For every 10°C 18°F rise in temperature, tire pressure can increase by about 1–2 PSI.

Checking tire pressure immediately after driving can give a falsely high reading.

What to do:

Check tire pressure when tires are cold before driving o r after the vehicle has been parked for a few hours.

Inflate tires according to manufacturer recommendations based on cold pressure.

Adjust tire pressure seasonally if you live in areas with large temperature swings.
