The front left turn signal bulb on my 2016 Hyundai Elantra has gone out three times in the past year. Im wondering if this is more than just a bad bulb. Could a faulty socket o r corroded connection be to blame?

Answer:
Yes, if a turn signal bulb keeps blowing, especially the same one repeatedly, it could be caused by:

Loose o r corroded socket connections

Water intrusion into the light housing

Short circuit o r exposed wiring

Overvoltage in the electrical system

Start by inspecting the socket and wiring for corrosion, moisture, o r melting. Use dielectric grease on the new bulb socket to protect against moisture. If the issue persists, a mechanic can perform a voltage and continuity check to detect deeper electrical issues.
