Oor Fuel Average and Rough Idling in United Alpha

Lately my United Alpha’s fuel average has ped, and the engine sometimes shakes o r idles roughly when the AC is on. I haven’t serviced the air filter in a while. Does a clogged air filter cause these symptoms in the Alpha? How often should it be cleaned o r replaced in Pakistani dust conditions?

A clogged air filter significantly affects fuel economy and engine smoothness in the United Alpha. Dusty Pakistani conditions make the filter clog faster than normal.

Symptoms of a clogged air filter

Poor fuel average

Rough o r uneven idling

Engine shakes when AC is turned on

Reduced throttle response

Black smoke from exhaust in severe cases

Recommended maintenance

Clean air filter every 2,000–3,000 km especially in dusty areas.

Replace air filter every 10,000–12,000 km o r earlier if visibly dirty.

Make sure the air intake system has no blockages.
