Overheating and Burning Smell in Suzuki Every on Long Trips – Any Solution?
On longer trips, especially with the A/C on in hot weather like in Multan, my Suzuki Every starts giving off a burning smell and feels like it’s overheating. The temperature gauge stays normal, but the engine fan runs constantly. Is this a cooling system issue o r related to the turbo? Anyone else faced this in Pakistan’s hot climate?

This issue is often reported in hotter areas of Pakistan Multan, Bahawalpur, etc..
Possible causes:
Weak o r dirty radiator – Unable to cool effectively
Failing water pump o r thermostat
A/C load combined with poor airflow
Worn-out engine oil o r low coolant level
Burning smell may come from:
Overheated engine oil
A/C compressor strain
Worn-out clutch o r brakes if driving uphill
Recommendations:
Get your cooling system flushed and radiator cleaned.
Use coolant, not just water, especially in hot climates.
Check radiator fan and thermostat function.
If the engine smells burnt after long drives, consider switching to fully synthetic oil and ensuring your air conditioning system isn’t overloading the engine.
