Roof Lining in My Suzuki Every Is Sagging – What’s the Cause and Solution?

The interior roof lining of my Suzuki Every is coming loose and sagging, especially near the rear seats. I live in Rawalpindi, and the car is about 8 years old. Is this a common issue due to heat o r poor adhesive? What’s the best way to fix it permanently?

Sagging roof linings are very common in older imported cars in Pakistan. Causes include:

Heat damage loosening the glue that holds the fabric to the board

Humidity weakening the adhesive

Age-related material wear

Solutions:

The best option is to re-glue the fabric using spray adhesive 3M 77 o r similar.

If it’s too damaged, go to a local upholstery shop for a roof lining replacement – costs usually range from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,500.

Keep your van parked in the shade o r under a cover to avoid repeat issues.
