Rust Spots Forming Around Doors and Underbody of My Suzuki Every – What’s Causing This?

There are small rust spots forming around the door edges and wheel arches, and even some under the van. I live in Lahore where there’s a lot of road water and dust. Is rust common in imported Every vans? How can I treat and prevent it?

Rust is common in imported Suzuki Every vans, especially older models. Many Every vans were previously used in snowy o r coastal areas of Japan where road salt causes corrosion, and they were not always rust-proofed before import.

Where it happens:

Wheel arches, door edges, underbody, and exhaust system.

Common in cities like Lahore and Karachi where theres high humidity and water exposure.

What to do:

Use rust converter o r rust-proof primer to stop surface rust.

Apply underbody coating rubberized o r wax-based.

Regularly wash the underbody, especially during rainy season.

For severe rust, get professional welding o r panel patchwork done.
