: Squeaking Sound When Braking in Suzuki Every – Should I Replace the Brake Pads?

I’ve started hearing a high-pitched squeaking sound from the front wheels when I apply the brakes. It’s especially noticeable in the morning o r after rain. I use my Suzuki Every for school runs in Lahore. Is this a sign that the brake pads are getting thin, o r just dust o r rust on the discs?

A squeaking o r high-pitched noise often means brake pads are getting thin, and the built-in wear indicators are touching the rotor to warn you. However, sometimes:

Dust o r rust on rotors can cause temporary squeaks.

Moisture rain o r humidity may cause noise until brakes warm up.

What to do:

Have brake pads checked if below minimum thickness, replace them.

Clean brake discs and pads to remove dust and rust.

Use brake lubricant on pad contact points to reduce noise.
