Uneven Brake Pad Wear in My Suzuki Every – What’s the Cause?

Uneven Brake Pad Wear in My Suzuki Every – What’s the Cause?

During routine maintenance, my mechanic said the left front brake pad was more worn out than the right one. Im based in Islamabad and drive mostly on smooth roads. What could be causing this uneven brake pad wear? Could it be a stuck caliper o r an issue with brake fluid distribution?

Uneven wear, such as one side’s pads wearing faster, is commonly caused by:

A stuck o r seized caliper piston that doesn’t release properly.

Caliper slide pins that are corroded o r not lubricated.

Issues with the brake hose causing uneven hydraulic pressure.

Misalignment o r suspension problems affecting brake pressure.

What to do:

Have the calipers inspected and serviced o r replaced if stuck.

Lubricate caliper slide pins regularly.

Check brake hoses for blockages o r swelling.

Ensure brake system hydraulic balance.
