United Alpha Losing Power on Acceleration — Is the Fuel Filter Clogged?
My United Alpha struggles to accelerate, especially when going uphill o r overtaking. The engine feels like it’s choking o r not getting enough fuel. This problem gets worse when the fuel tank is low. Could a clogged fuel filter be causing this? What symptoms should I look for before replacing it?

Gari Master - on 15 Nov 2025 12:53:23 pmA clogged fuel filter is one of the most common causes of power loss in the United Alpha, especially in Pakistan where fuel quality can vary. When the filter becomes restricted, it reduces fuel flow to the engine, making the car feel weak when accelerating.
Signs your fuel filter may be clogged
Slow o r delayed acceleration
Engine feels like it’s choking under load
Jerks o r hesitation when pressing the accelerator
Power loss more noticeable when fuel tank is low
Occasional engine misfire o r sputtering
What to do
Check when the fuel filter was last replaced recommendation: every 20,000–30,000 km.
Inspect the fuel lines for dirt o r contamination.
If acceleration is consistently weak, the fuel filter should be replaced immediately.
A clogged filter, if ignored, can strain the fuel pump and cause further damage.
