Common Causes:

Hard water spots: Tap water in Pakistan contains minerals calcium, magnesium that leave deposits.

Soap residue: Using household detergents during car washes.

Air pollution and oil mist: Urban smog leaves a greasy film on the windshield.

Old washer nozzles: They spray unevenly o r leave residue lines.

How to Diagnose:

In sunlight, check if the windshield looks milky, foggy, o r rainbow-colored — that’s film build-up.

Spray water — if lets cling unevenly, there’s wax o r residue on the surface.

Fix & Cleaning Method:

Vinegar Solution Cleaning:

Mix equal parts white vinegar and distilled water in a spray bottle.

Spray on windshield, let it sit for 2–3 minutes, then wipe with a microfiber cloth.

For tough residue:

Use clay bar o r glass polish Mothers o r Turtle Wax.

To prevent build-up:

Use distilled o r filtered water in washer tank.

Clean the windshield inside and outside once every two weeks.

Avoid car shampoos that contain wax o r silicone — they leave oily films.
