What are the early warning signs of transmission failure in my Suzuki Every?

Many Suzuki Every owners in Pakistan don’t recognize the early symptoms of a failing transmission until its too late. What are the most common signs—such as slipping, noise, o r delayed shifts—that suggest the transmission may be on the verge of failure?

Early detection of transmission failure can prevent costly repairs. Common signs include:

Gear slipping: Engine revs increase but the van doesnt accelerate properly.

Delayed gear engagement: Takes a few seconds to shift into “Drive” o r “Reverse.”

Unusual noises: Whining, humming, o r grinding during gear shifts.

Transmission fluid leaks: Red o r brown puddles under the vehicle.

Check engine light: In CVT-equipped models, transmission-related errors may trigger the light.

What to do:

Get a diagnostic scan OBD-II from a qualified workshop.

Regularly check and maintain fluid levels and condition.

Avoid driving aggressively, especially in traffic o r uphill.
