What are the signs of a radiator leak in a Hyundai Elantra, and how do I confirm it?

I suspect my 2020 Elantra has a radiator leak because the coolant reservoir keeps getting low. However, I don’t see any wet spots under the car. Are there any quick ways to confirm a radiator leak at home o r should I visit a workshop in Islamabad?

Common symptoms of a radiator leak include:

Low coolant warning light

Coolant smell from the engine bay

Visible green, red, o r orange residue near the radiator o r hoses

Engine overheating o r running hot after 20–30 minutes of driving

To confirm the leak:
Inspect around the radiator cap, tank, and bottom corners

Look for white o r chalky deposits — a sign of slow leaks that dry up

Use a radiator pressure test kit o r visit a workshop for a leak-down test

You can also gently squeeze the upper radiator hose when the engine is cool to check for pressure loss

In Islamabad and similar colder cities, leaks might appear more when the engine warms up and pressure builds.
