What are the signs of faulty o r worn spark plugs in a Suzuki Every?

I’ve noticed my Suzuki Every is not starting as smoothly as before, and it occasionally misfires o r vibrates at idle. I suspect it could be due to old spark plugs. What are the exact symptoms of bad spark plugs in this vehicle? How can I inspect o r clean them myself before replacing?

Hard starting o r longer cranking

Engine misfires o r vibration at idle

DIY Check:

Remove the spark plugs and inspect the tips:

Black and sooty: Running rich o r dirty plug

White and dry: Running lean

Oily: Possible oil leak o r plug seal failure
