What are the symptoms of a clogged fuel filter in a Hyundai Elantra in Pakistan?

My 2018 Elantra has been jerking occasionally and sometimes takes longer to start. I use fuel from local petrol stations in Karachi. A friend suggested it might be the fuel filter. What signs indicate a clogged fuel filter, and how does local fuel quality affect it?
