What Is the Correct Tire Size and Air Pressure for Optimal Performance in Pakistan?

Improper tire size o r pressure affects ride quality and fuel average. What are the manufacturer-recommended tire specs and PSI levels for the Elantra, and do they need to be adjusted for Pakistan’s road conditions?

For most Hyundai Elantra models in Pakistan e.g. GLS o r 2.0 AT, the standard tire size is 205/55 R16 o r 215/45 R17 depending on the variant. The recommended tire pressure is:

32 PSI front and rear for normal driving.

34 PSI rear if carrying heavy loads o r passengers frequently.

In Pakistan’s road conditions—especially with potholes and speed breakers—many users prefer slightly higher-profile tires e.g. 205/60 R16 to improve comfort and reduce rim damage, though this may slightly affect fuel economy and handling.
