Why did my Hyundai Elantras power window suddenly stop working?
I drive a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, and the driver’s side window stopped moving up o r down without warning. I don’t hear any motor noise when I press the switch. Could it be a fuse, the motor, o r the switch? How can I diagnose this?

If your power window has stopped working with no motor sound, the issue could be one of the following:
Blown fuse: Check your fuse box usually under the dash o r hood for a blown power window fuse.
Faulty switch: The switch on the door panel could be defective o r have poor internal contact.
Window motor failure: Motors can wear out over time, especially on the driver’s side which is used most.
Regulator failure: If the cable o r gears in the regulator break, the window won’t move even if the motor runs.
Broken wiring in the door harness: Wires can break from repeated door opening/closing, especially in the rubber boot between the door and frame.
Start by testing the switch and fuse. If those are fine, a technician can check power at the motor to isolate the issue.
