Why do my Suzuki Every power windows make a grinding noise while operating?

When I use the power windows, I hear a grinding o r clicking sound, especially when rolling them up. The window still moves but seems like something is slipping inside. Could it be the window regulator gears o r the motor assembly wearing out?

Grinding, clicking, o r crunching noises usually indicate a mechanical failure inside the door:

Damaged Window Regulator Gear: The gears inside the regulator may be stripped o r jammed.

Loose Window Glass o r Mount: If the glass is not properly aligned in its channel, it can tilt and grind.

Frayed o r Snapped Cable: Some regulators use cable-driven mechanisms which wear over time and make noise before failing.

This happens more in vehicles with manual repairs using local parts, o r those with worn-out window tracks.

Solution:
Remove the door panel and inspect the window regulator assembly. If the cable is tangled o r the gears are worn, it’s best to replace the entire regulator unit. Avoid forcing the window up o r down, as it can damage the glass.
